Made to be worn.
Kept by hand.
Different materials, different habits. Care is how the form stays the form.
A surface is a life,
not a warranty.
A plated surface changes with wear. Care slows the process. Plated finishes wear with friction and chemistry over time. This is the normal life of a surface — how it records being worn — not a defect. The habits below slow it down; nothing stops it entirely.
One rule matters most: chemically treated "silver polishing cloths" strip plated surfaces. On plated pieces, use only the soft, dry cloth we include with your order. Use a treated cloth only on plain, polished sterling silver, and only when the product page recommends it.

Silver-plated.
A few quiet habits.
Earring posts may bend slightly in transit. If a post arrives bent, contact us with a photo before adjusting it so we can advise on the appropriate next step. Do not force or repeatedly bend the post. These objects are built for the body — surfaces, edges, and tension set the way they were designed. Care is not maintenance; it is how the form stays the form. A few quiet habits are enough. The keeping starts before the box does — every order is packed by hand at the studio.
- BeforePut jewelry on last — after cosmetics, perfume, and hairspray have settled.
- DuringMetal remembers impact. Mind hard edges, door frames, and heavy bags.
- AfterRemove before swimming, showering, sport, and sleep. Water and sweat are chemistry, not just moisture.
- DailyWipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear — skin oils are the main residue.
- Polished metalWipe gently with the soft, dry cloth included with your order. Follow any product-specific care instructions shown on the product page.
- NeverNo ultrasonic cleaners. No abrasive polish. No chemical dips — unless a product page states otherwise.
- WhereDry, away from direct sun. The original box and pouch are the intended home.
- HowPieces stored separately, so surfaces and edges never touch.
- WhyMost wear happens in the drawer, not on the body — metal against metal, unsupervised.

Care by material and finish
Core pieces use different materials and finishes. Follow the care instructions for the individual piece. Use a soft, untreated cloth on plated surfaces; treated silver polishing cloths may damage the finish. Use a treated cloth only on plain, polished sterling silver when the product-specific instructions recommend it. Keep it away from pearls, enamel and plated details.
- Matte silverBrushed silver changes naturally with wear. Do not use a treated silver polishing cloth on matte or brushed finishes, as it may brighten the surface. Follow the care instructions on the product page.
- If it darkensIf your piece darkens, follow the care instructions on its product page. Use silver cleaning solution only when those instructions explicitly recommend it. Do not immerse pieces with pearls, enamel or plated details. If a mark remains, contact us.
- Polished silverKeep polished silver dry and away from hot springs, seawater and chemicals. Use a treated silver polishing cloth only when the product page recommends it; otherwise, use a soft, untreated cloth.
- Between wearsStore plain silver sealed in a small plastic bag to slow oxidation. Pieces with pearls follow their own instructions.
