X.C Studio was founded in New York in 2020 by architect Xuechen Chen. It works across architecture, images and objects: a building, a film, a drawing, a scarf, each asked the same question about the space around a body.

About X.C Studio
Urban Unfold began as a short film that took New York apart the way film is cut: block, billboard, bridge, re-edited into the city’s rhythm. The drawings that followed did the same to Rome and London, and those drawings became the silk editions. On silk the city folds, ties and moves when you do.
ARKVEIL publishes the editions; X.C Studio makes them. Unfold New York is artwork by Xuechen Chen. The New Ground is by Xuechen Chen and Phuong Mai Do. The credits stay with the works.
